Mandira ‘comes clean’ on the sets!

Mandira Bedi recently experienced a strange, ironic moment while shooting for Mumbai Chakachak. The film’s cast and crew, including Rahul Bose and Cyrus Broacha, were shooting at a prominent seaside location in Mumbai, when a lady who was taking a walk stopped to reprimand Mandira and the crew for dirtying the area. The funny thing is, the film is trying to convey that very same message to citizens!

“It’s all going to be picked up ma’am,” Mandira tried explaining to the cleanliness-conscious lady. Permissions have been taking from the BMC,” to which the lady retorted, “To dirty the place?” Mandira continued, “We haven’t wrapped up our shoot yet. All of this will be cleaned up once we do.” But the lady, too annoyed at the mess to listen to reason, stormed off. Looks like Mumbai Chakachak is getting people charged up about cleanliness even before hitting theatres.

SRK's team strikes gold!

Throw away those knee-guards and discard those thigh-pads, because cricket gear just got re-vamped! Imagine Sourav Ganguly, captain of SRK’s Team Calcutta in the upcoming cricket series, wearing not a usual cricket helmet, but a glittering, dazzling one, courtesy the Gitanjali Group. Mehul Choksi, Chairman, Gitanjali Group, has joined hands with SRK to support the multi-billion dollar cricket extravaganza. Gitanjali Lifestyle, the retail arm of the group, has under one of its sub brands Glitterati by D’damas, created a special 24-carat gold and diamond-encrusted helmet-shaped trophy that shall be presented to the man of the match. A replica of the same in gold and encrusted with 1,500 diamonds shall be auctioned at a charity event later.

Saif-Rani in a film with no name!

The lovely Hum Tum pair, Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji, will be seen making onscreen magic once again — but later, rather than sooner. The film, directed by Kunal Kohli under the Yash Raj banner, has been completed and the producers are itching to unleash it. There’s just one small problem: The project remains untitled! Apparently, the entire team — including Kunal Kohli, lyricist Prasoon Joshi, even Saif and Rani — has been brainstorming for a suitable name, but haven’t zeroed in on any yet.

In fact, these title troubles have upset Yash Raj’s plan to release the film along with Tashan. Well, no name, no gain.
