Jiah Khan was born on 20th February, 1988 in New York. She later moved to London and has completed her A levels in film studies and literature there. She is the daughter of actress Rabia.

Besides acting, Jiah has a passion for singing and has had formal training in classical opera. She knows as many as five different forms of dancing.

She has been in the limelight due to the recent release of her controversial debut Hindi film Nishabd in which she stars opposite veteran Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan. The film released on March 2, 2007 to mixed reviews. Her next film is with Aamir Khan in the Hindi remake of Tamil film ‘Ghajini’.

Jiah was recently in the news for refusing to be a part of the Miss Bikini contests as she was hesitant to wear a bikini, though she didn’t mind indulging in revealing clothes for her debut film Nishabd.
